Garden of Hope—Teen Challenge

The Garden is progressing well.  The fencing surrounding the garden and the main and side gates are complete.  The Arbor structure, which will be used for quiet time, study groups, weddings, etc., is complete and awaiting for pavers to create the floor. Installation of PVC piping for watering plants and trees is complete. Work continues on additional parking area, layout for the raised garden boxes, bark for the hill area where three crosses stand, and the planting of the area around the crosses.  U.C. Davis is assisting us in determining the correct type of trees to plant lining the drive way and we will be asking for donations to help us purchase the trees for this project.  God has provided us help all along the way, funds, big and small have been given and all are greatly appreciated.  The Garden has given the men at the recovery center great satisfaction working with their hands in God’s great out of doors.  They are heard saying “I can tell my son/daughter I built that”!  God has shown us the way and we have followed, and the blessings continue to multiply.
